Maddington Central Prepares to Light the Way04 May 2018
Maddington Central and Beacon Foundation have launched Light the Way - an initiative to help alleviate issues of youth unemployment and disengagement.
Beacon Foundation motivates young people for a successful post-secondary school career. The aim of programs is to equip students with the skills and confidence required to make the transition school to work and reduce the rate of youth unemployment.
We are proud to partner with Beacon for Light the Way.
The activity at Maddington Central will include the sale of 100 special Light the Way tote bags, with a 50% chance to find a $10 gift card inside!
The Centre will also hold a raffle including a $100 voucher from Kmart, and sell some official AFL Dockers and Eagles scarves for $5 each.
Glenn Page Maddington Central Centre Manager, said, “Light the Way is an opportunity for our community to come together and support the work of Beacon Foundation. We are proud to work with Beacon to engage young people in Maddington to achieve careers success and help alleviate issues of unemployment.”
“Maddington Central and Vicinity Centres will match every dollar raised during our Light the Way campaign, which will ensure the Beacon programs continue to provide support young people in our community.”
